LOCATIONS
Most sessions take place in one of the woodland locations I regularly photograph across Suffolk.
Over the years, I’ve built a small selection of favourite spots that photograph beautifully in every season and allow families to relax naturally away from busy public spaces.
If there’s somewhere meaningful to your family, a favourite countryside walk, or place your children love, I’m always happy to discuss shooting there too.
Sessions within my usual local area are included, and for locations further afield, a small travel supplement may apply.
Things you might be wondering

I always recommend simple clothing in soft, neutral or earthy tones. Comfort matters far more than being overly dressed up. The aim is for the photographs to feel natural and effortless, rather than overly styled.
Once booked, you’ll receive a styling guide with plenty of advice and inspiration.

Please don’t worry about this. Children don’t need to sit still or constantly look at the camera for beautiful photographs to happen. I’ll go at their pace. If they need a breather, that’s absolutely fine.
Sessions are relaxed and gently guided, allowing space for real moments, movement, play, and connection.

The British weather is wonderfully unpredictable, so flexibility is always part of the process. If conditions are unsuitable, we simply reschedule for another date.
Overcast skies can actually create some of the softest and most beautiful light for photographs.

Most sessions last around 1 hour. This allows plenty of time for children to settle in naturally without anything feeling rushed. It also factors in the essential snack breaks.

Your gallery is usually ready around 2 weeks from your session. After the photoshoot, you’ll have access to a private viewing gallery where you’ll be able to choose your artwork and digital images.

Absolutely. Many families decide to add extra prints, albums, or digital images once they’ve seen their final gallery. Additional artwork is always available separately.

Of course! Dogs are always welcome and often make great additions to outdoor sessions.

Absolutely. Having a portrait session of your extended family can be a truly memorable occasion, and creates beautiful artwork. As these sessions require more time, please get in touch for a bespoke quote and availability. I’m always happy to accommodate.
